Abu Dhabi  -  Our house

Finally after a long research we found a nice house. As we have told you in our diary (only in German, sorry) the definition of size and price is a little bit different compared to what we were used to back in Germany.

But we were quite lucky to find this house for an acceptable rent. Before it was the Greek Embassy and this gives you already an impression on the size.

The house has 3 floors. On the ground floor there is the entrance (much bigger than in Europe), the living room, the kitchen (you could play table tennis in there), a storage room, the laundry room and two bath rooms.
On the first floor we have our sleeping room, our office, a separate room for dressing and sometimes for guests and in total two bath rooms.

The second floor consists of our guest room with attached bath room, a balcony and as highlight a roof top terrace.

Absolutely crucial is a car here in Abu Dhabi. Not that the distances are too long, but the heat will force you to use the car at any time.
 

We drive a Mitsubishi Pajero 4WD. With this car you have a nice overview on the street and you are able to go into the desert as well. We did it sometimes together with the Abu Dhabi 4x4 club and I can tell you it's real fun.
